4PEOPLE.ORG - Your Local Resource Directory
4people.org is an Internet Community Resource Directory designed to help people in rural areas of Eastern Washington and Northeast Oregon access community resources by providing free, fast and current information about local organizations, programs, services and community events. It's also a place where health and human service professionals can list their programs or services and find resources for their clients or customers.
Visit the website at: http://www.4people.org and check out the many resources that are available, including community calendars and over 1,200 agencies and 2,700 services.
The directory is a special project of 4people, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that represents a partnership among public, private and charitable organizations in rural Eastern Washington, whose mission is "Connecting People to Resources and Opportunities."
Professional Development and Networking Support for Educators
Partnership for Children and Families is a group of interested community members and agency representatives from Chelan and Douglas Counties.
Northwest Parenting and Family Education Conference is sponsored by Washington State University, University of Idaho and Oregon State University, where nationally recognized researchers and practitioners share cutting-edge information and techniques.
This conference provides 3 days of professional development for parenting and family educators, child care providers, and other family serving professionals.
Continuing Education Units and Clock Hour Credits will be available pending approval from WSU.
WA-PEN (Washington Parenting Education Network) List Serv is a statewide networking tool for parenting educators allowing you to learn about upcoming trainings, announce and get support for your events, share resources with colleagues across the state, and ask for help and information from your peers.
