Master Gardeners Association
The Chelan County Master Gardener Association raises funds to support our local Master Gardener Program. While Master Gardeners and Association board members donate their time as volunteers, the Program has expenses such as for program administration and materials. It also undertakes special projects. The Master Gardener Program's 2008 project is to build its own greenhouse and demonstration garden. The Association raises money through plant sales, gardening supply and almanac sales, and donations.
The Association welcomes support from the community to maintain the strength and viability of the local Master Gardener Program and make its projects possible. If you'd like to help in this way:
- Purchase plants at our plant sales.
- Purchase gardening gloves and our Master Gardener Almanac for the Wenatchee area, and other items. We sell them at our office, our booths at the county fairs and Home Show, and the Wenatchee Farmers Market. Gloves are also available at Eastmont Pharmacy, East Wenatchee, WA.
- Donate to our Association with a check to Chelan Master Gardener Association, and send it to:

The Master Gardener Program, which serves residents in Chelan and Douglas counties, also receives partial financial support for program administration from Chelan County. Please let your commissioners know you appreciate their support of this service to educate and encourage an enthusiam for functional, beautiful , fire-wise and water-wise gardens and landscaping.
College Scholarships
One of the purposes of the Master Gardener Association of Washington State is education. To that end each county submits one applicant to be considered for one of the two Mary Robson and Van Bobbit $500 scholarships. These awards enable students to study in horticulture and its related fields. They are available to high school seniors or to students entering a college/university for the first time as a full time student. For more information please review the 2008 application packet.
With Thanks...
The WSU Chelan County Master Gardeners greatfully acknowledge a generous donation made to our program by the staff of the Seattle Aquarium in memory of Alpha Landis Quinn.
