A Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program for Children and Adults with Disabilities

Spurs and Spokes 4-H is now taking applications for the

2008 Spring and Summer Program:

May 20 & 21 through June 24 & 25

July 16 through August 20

Riders ride one hour per week for six weeks. Cost is $50 for six weeks.

Riders or their families must provide at least two persons to volunteer during the time that they ride.

on a horse when you've spent all of your life
in a wheelchair!

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Children and adults of any age who have disabilities. For the health of our animals, we do have some weight restrictions. Riders and their parents (or guardians) must also be willing to abide by our attendance and behavior policies.

Admittance to the program is by application. Applications are accepted on a "first come - first served" basis. Once admitted to the Program, riders may continue to ride from year to year.
