4-H Summer Forestry Projects
Academic
and Vocational Projects: Washington
State University Project: Participants
visited the campus of Washington State University to
learn about educational opportunities available
for post high school education. After spending the
night in a school dormitory they toured the Natural
Resources
Deparment and visited with university educators to
discuss their 4-H Forestry Education Program activities
and experiences.
Educational activities were presented relative to the
use of telemetry to track and monitor wildlife, a tour
of the Mule Deer and Grizzly Bear nutritional research
projects and an interactive tour of a forest product

visited the Outdoor Education Department to learn about
educational and vocational opportunities
in the field of Therapeutic Recreation and Outdoor
Recreation management. Classroom presentations were
provided relative
to ongoing research into the relationship between "Attitude" and "Personal
Performance" by participating university professors
